Rachel Keller

RachelRachel Keller is a fictional character from The Ring film series. The fictional character of Rachel Keller was created by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the role. Rachel is required to look into the past of Samara Morgan after her son is diagnosed with an unknown illness. Ruth asks Rachel Keller as an investigative journalist to investigate the mystery surrounding Katie's death. Rachel learns from her that Katie was healthy and she discovered Katie's body disfigured in the closet. Katie's friends tell Rachel about the myth surrounding the cursed tape , and also about how Katie's friend Becca was confined to an institution following Katie's passing. Katie's boyfriend and two friends also died in strange accidents the same night at 10 after 10. Rachel travels to Shelter Mountain Inn and stays in Cabin 12, which is the same cabin that Katie and her companions were watching the videotape with the curse. Rachel discovers the tape and watches it, and then her phone rings. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is seeking help from her ex-boyfriend Noah Clay, a video analyst. In the future, Rachel discovers that Aidan, her son with Noah, watched the tape as Noah calls her and informs Rachel that he believes in her. Rachel examines the tape in order to determine the place of the lighthouse. It was located on Moesko Island. Anna Morgan, a cursed horse breeder, appeared on the tape. After investigating, Rachel discovers Anna had an adopted daughter named Samara who was possessed of the ability to burn frightening images in the minds of individuals, animals and objects. Rachel is forced to leave Anna's widower Richard after she starts asking questions about Samara.
