Richards was born in Penarth (Wales). She received her education at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She was the host of the Welsh teenager magazine show Mosgito for S4C and also appeared in short films before being cast in major roles on BBC TV programmes Crash and Being Human. [2] In 2012 she was cast as an executive secretary with an exaggerated English accent in the TV show Breaking In. 3] She was made a Breaking In regular in January of 2012. [4][5(#5 Sharon together with Sharlto Copley, starred in the character she played in Gonzalo Lopez Gallego's horror film Open Grave. [2][6] she played Barbara Kean from 2014 to 2019 on FOX Television's series Gotham. She also directed "The Jim Gordon Trial" which was her fifth season's episode. The episode premiered on the 7 March 2019. [1][88. FOX states that she is currently in a role in an unreleased film by an independent filmmaker, That Good Night with Max Brown and John Hurt. She was also seen in The Quiet Ones, Open Grave and on TV in the UK, Being Human. She lives in New York, Los Angeles and London.
