Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actress and singer. The parents of Kristen Bell are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. She was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment at an early age. In 1992 she won her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mother signed as an agent was also cast in advertisements for newspapers and television. Bell also began taking private acting classes around the age of 13. Bell was a character who did not have a credit on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy at her school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell completed her studies in 2001, resigned her studies at the university to play the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and only the credits display her. Bell made an appearance on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
