Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan) was born to Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. She has Italian origins (her paternal grandfather), Irish, German, English and Scottish (her mother). Linda was born in San Francisco Bay and grew to be the youngest among four children. She began her interest in acting in the age of ten when she performed a singing role in a school Christmas play. She went on to perform at school and community theatre.
